  • Highly committed to teaching and research at the university and has supervised/ advised many undergraduate, master and postgraduate (PhD) students in various related fields. More than 60 research results have been published in high impact journals and presented in conferences internationally and locally.

  • Graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with Honours in 1995 and obtained his MRCP (Member of Royal College of Physician) U.K status in 2001.
  • Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) where he had extensive experiences in heading the Gastroenterology Units from 2003 to 2012.
  • Dr. Loong has a vast experience in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, double balloon enteroscopy, intra-gastric balloon insertion for obesity treatment, hemorrhoid banding, digestive tract diseases, liver diseases and other common medical illnesses.
  • Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist.
  • Graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with Honours in 1995 and became a Member of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) UK in 2001.
  • Associate Professor and Head of the Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Unit in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia from 2004 to 2012.
  • Vast experience in general internal medicine, digestive tract and liver diseases. He has an extensive record in performing gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, intragastric balloon for obesity treatment and haemorrhoid banding.
  • Dr Loong is passionate about disease prevention and health promotion. His areas of interest include colon cancer screening, Helicobacter infection, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, lifestyle diseases and obesity.

  • 30 years of experience in the medical field, of which 27 years were in Opthalmology. Over the last 17 years, Dr Singh has been passionately involved in Preventing Blindness Programs and strongly believes in the old adage “Prevention is better than cure”.

  • He completed his postdoctoral training in UKM in 1997.

  • Furthered her masters training at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and UKM Medical Centre before completing training in 2012.
  • Served as a house officer and medical officer at several government hospitals before pursuing Masters of Radiology at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and previously worked as a clinical Radiologist at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru and HSC medical Centre Kuala Lumpur.
