On October 30, 2023, the GHHS Healthcare delegation from Malaysia visited St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou for a one-day medical exchange and hospital tour.

During the morning session, the delegation toured the hospital’s key facilities, including the minimally invasive intervention rooms, general wards, VIP wards, and hospital garden. The team also had the opportunity to observe live demonstrations of minimally invasive surgical procedures and engaged in discussions on key treatment techniques. St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou’s 18 advanced minimally invasive cancer treatment technologies captured the delegation’s keen interest. The hospital then arranged an interactive session with its Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), where specialists from both sides exchanged insights on specific challenges in cancer treatment, fostering a dynamic and engaging discussion.

In the afternoon, Dr. Peng, a leading authority in minimally invasive cancer treatment, delivered a keynote lecture titled “Precision Minimally Invasive Treatment for Tumors.” With over 30 years of experience in oncology, Dr. Peng provided an insightful overview of the hospital’s cutting-edge techniques, sharing compelling patient cases with a blend of expertise and engaging storytelling.

This visit provided GHHS Healthcare with valuable insights into the latest advancements in cancer treatment and strengthened international medical collaboration between Malaysia and China.

GHHS, in collaboration with the UPM Cancer Research and Education Centre, successfully co-organized a one-day program dedicated to cancer survivors on 12 November 2016. The event was themed “Caring Beyond Cancer: In Care We Care,” offering support, sharing experiences, and empowering cancer survivors as they continue their journey beyond diagnosis and treatment.

On 17^th May 2014, a health talk was successfully held for our members and followers on habitual snoring problems. Conducted by GHHS Healthcare’s visiting consultant who specialises in ENT, head and neck surgery, Nassopharyngeal Carcinoma and sleep apnea, Dr. Yap Yoke Yeow shared his knowledge on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and emphasised on the importance of early detection and check up on any sleeping related disorders diligently.

Three lucky members have won themselves a Sleep Apnea Test (worth RM500 each) via a SMS contest and 30 participants were very delighted when they were given a complimentary ENT assessment and consultation after attending the talk.  Participants were also given value added complimentary blood pressure analysis and Traditional Chinese Medicine health consultation by our GHHS Healthcare’s TCM physicians.
