Over the years, many of us have been blessed with wealth and prosperity, as society grows affluent. But the progress has also brought with it lifestyle diseases. We all know that prevention is better than cure. However, knowing is one thing. Translating the knowledge into action is another. Many a time, we suffer unnecessarily because we have failed to act early.
Health and longevity have been a prime concern in every civilization, and throughout history, we have accumulated tremendous knowledge and wisdom on healing and healthcare. But many of us either do not bother to learn, or learn but do not bother to take preventive action.
Preventive healthcare acts like a protective fence at the edge of the cliff. Without the fence, these horses would fall off the cliff. Without preventive healthcare, we would suffer a similar fate. This is best reflected in our logo of ‘Safety Fence’. Knowledge is power. Being knowledgeable in healthcare empowers us to take measures against critical diseases. Having said that, I must add that in whatever we do, our action must arise from a caring and loving heart.
